I continue to work in several directions. As a teacher, I am pleased to continue working with individuals with early stage dementia and their caregivers. I have recently taught a Quilting & Design Workshop at the American Folk Art Museum as part of the NYC chapter of the Alzheimer's Association's Greet Art Program. Earlier in the year I was invited back to the Blythedale Children's Hospital to teach a month of machine sewing classes to students with multiple disabilities. These classes are part of a Eileen Fisher Self Image Grant for Girls. As an quiltmaker and artist I continue to show my work whenever I can. I was thrilled to be juried in as a semi finalist in the American Quilter's Society Lancaster 2011 quilt show. I was in such good company! My fabric artwork was showcased in a one woman show "Pleated, Seamed & Stitched: Fabric Constructions" at Southern Connecticut State University recently. I continue to work on quilt commissions for unique custom quilts in projects ranging from classic patterns to quilts including photographs, memorabilia, clothing (t shirts! jeans! baby clothes! ladies hankies! mens ties!) - sort through your treasures and bring them to me! Whether you're interested in personal instruction, custom quilt design, or learning on your own with the help of my sewing and quilting books, I look forward to sharing the fun and creativity of sewing with you. Please enjoy your visit to this site; I welcome your comments and inquiries. I am especially skilled in teaching children to sew - so if you have a child begging to learn please contact me.
